Mexico's MONTERREY METAL FEST IV To Be Held In September

April 18, 2009

The 2009 Monterrey Metal Fest IV will be held on Wednesday, September 16 at the Santa Lucia Arena in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

The entrance to the festival will be limited to only 3,000 persons, with VIP tickets to be made available for purchase on June 15, 2009 via Super Boletos ticket service.

The names of the six international metal bands participating in the line-up of the MMF IV will be released in the coming weeks.

Gilberto Gonzalez Ruelas, promoter of the MMF IV, released the following statement regarding the resurrection of the Monterrey Metal Fest: "Almost three years have passed since the Monterrey Metal Fest III was held on November 18, 2006.

"The wait is now over with the announcement of the 2009 Monterrey Metal Fest IV which will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2009.

"With a new VIP concept (limited to only 3,000 tickets sold) and a new venue, the Santa Lucia Arena, we have proved that the new site is the ideal location for the festival.

"Surely, many will say that it is a much smaller place than the previously used location (Coca Cola Auditorium) and that many people will be left without tickets to attend the festival.

"For that reason, we have initiated the promotional campaign two months before tickets go on sale and five months before the festival takes place.

"The idea is for everybody to have the same opportunity to prepare themselves to purchase tickets.

"A total of six international metal bands will present themselves just like on the Main Stage at previous past festival editions.

"There will only be 3,000 VIP general admission tickets available for purchase that will be equivalent to the 'AA' and 'A' seating zones of the now closed down Coca Cola Auditorium.

"The 2009 Monterrey Metal Fest IV will once again feature the very best musical production as featured in the past three festival editions."
